I am a counseling psychologist with research focus on psychological aspects of Internet use.  My research on Internet use includes four areas:  Problematic Internet use (Internet addiction), online health information, and gender differences. Specifically, I am interested in factors such as loneliness, social anxiety, and gender that predict problematic Internet use.  My second Internet-related area of research on online health information has focused on how individuals retrieve, evaluate and use online health information while my third area on Internet-related research has explored gender differences in Internet uses and in technological expertise. Additionally, I also have published about psychological pedagogy.
