• Submit one question about the assigned readings each week (word-processed); include a Website to back up your viewpoint (Written Assignment #1; may be submitted through Blackboard Digital Dropbox each week).
  

• Weekly assessment of a local or regional issue (use the Internet, newspapers and news magazines).  Maintain a notebook of these articles about a local, regional, national or international environmental policy area (include references and/or Website addresses for all articles).  Prepare and submit Findings of Fact at end of course, based on your research (Written Assignment #6).


• Participate in classroom discussions, Internet research, guest speakers, site visits, field trips

• E-Mail Responses on selected topics, whenever announced (See Assignment #2).
  

• Possible participation in Internet conferences with students in China (TBA)

• Complete the following written assignments: (dates to be assigned)

#1    Weekly Question on Assigned Readings
              (Submit weekly for individual portfolio, to be evaluated periodically by professor)
#2    Participation Assignments - E-Mail responses to class questions
#3    Superfund cleanup analysis (Individual effort, using EPA information sheets & web site)
#4    Characterize an environmental technology company (Individual paper)
#5    Case write-up of a local environmental issue - approval by professor of case study; requires personal first-hand experience (Individual effort)
#6     Research on an individualized topic of interest (Findings of Fact based on weekly reading)
#7    Environmental contamination assessment (Team presentation -topic to be selected - webpage design and presentation)

#8     Assessment of Internet Conference discussions with students from China (Format to be announced)

#9     Completed field trip report form (Report Form)

#10    Case Analysis (case to be provided by professor, with structured response)
#11    Reflection Essay (to be described in class)
