A separate agency not working with the UNDP or the UNFCCC is the UNEP, or United Nations Environmental Programme.  The UNEP is an agency which participates in environmental issues to a much larger extent that the UNDP.

The actual UNEP itself is a very broad agency but within it are literally hundreds of other agencies that specify in controlling and preserving areas of biodiversity, atmosphere, land, sustainable consumption, environmental assessment, and so on.

These sub-agencies work to end many of the problems which cause environmental disasters and rainforest destruction much alike the UNDP but at a much greater and more specified level.  For that reason the list of programs and accomplishments in the UNEP’s portfolio are too extensive to list on one page.  (info cited from the UNEP website)
