Overfishing in Coastal Areas
Joseph Mazzotta, Maryanne Mazzotta, Tara Pawlik

Description of the Problem

Stormwater Overfishing is a current environmental problem of paramount concern to many people who study the coastal areas and the ecosystems that reside within them.  As a result of overfishing many species are being removed from the areas, causing disruption of the particular ecosystem.  Overfishing can also result in extinction of certain species.

Solutions such as reulation of fishing coastal areas and the time of year in which fisherman will be allowed a catch should also be regulated.  These actions cause great concern for the fishermen who rely heavily on fishing for their income.
