Welcome to the site for Judy McDonnell. Judy has been on the Bryant Faculty in Sociology since 1989. Judy received her B.A. at Cornell University in 1978, her M.A., 1984, and Ph. D, 1990, in Sociology, from Brown University.
Judy teaches a variety of Sociology courses at Bryant, including:

Research & Interests
Judy’s research includes many conference presentations and publications. Her research has covered a wide variety of issues, including Section 8 and Public Housing, Fair Share Housing, Rap Music, and Guns and Violence, with each focusing on the study of inequality. Her recent research, with colleague Cileine de Lourenço, is an exploration of identity negotiation among Brazilian immigrant women living and working in the Boston, MA area.
