RESEARCH RECORD AT BRYANT

Works have been published in a variety of journals in the areas of ethics, employee rights, sexual harassment, and gender issues. More papers are forthcoming and several works are in progress. In order to make management knowledge accessible to a broader audience, I have appeared on PBS affiliate Channel 36 for 6 separate half-hour interviews. Topics covered during these interviews have included, Internet as a Collaborative Tool, Business Ethics, Employee Loyalty, Sexual Harassment in the Workplace, and Stress Management.. I have also given a number of interviews in the print media. A list of publications and presentations follows.

  • Interviewed (July 10, 1996) by Channel 10 in Rhode Island on Stress Management Issues for the 12 PM afternoon news show.
  • Interviewed by the Providence Journal-Bulletin on ways to reduce stress. The article titled “10 tips for reducing stress, appeared on the first page of the Lifebeat section of the paper on June 19, 1996. Scores of other major and minor newspapers across the country, including those in Texas, New York, California, Virginia, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Montana, Ohio, Oklahoma have published parts of the Interview or the complete story in their own columns.

Brief Biography : Dr. Harsh K. Luthar is a tenured Professor in the Management Department of the College of Business at Bryant University. He has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in Human Resource Management, Employment Relations, Business and Society, Management Theory and Practice, Introduction to Business, Labor Relations, and Collective Bargaining. Professor Luthar publishes both scholarly and popular papers related to the management discipline.
