To bring a chart over to Microsoft Excel or Word you must first create a chart. If you don't know how to create a graphical chart make sure to try the graphical chart tutorial. After you have a chart like the one below you simply have to click on the "Copy" button.

This will copy the numeric table behind the chart on to clipboard. Then open Microsoft Excel under a new spreadsheet and click "Paste". A chart like the one below should appear.

Then you need to highlight the entire contents of the numeric chart and then click on the "Chart Wizard" as shown below. Follow the chart wizard instructions to complete your chart.

Then you should have a chart like the one below.

Now to transfer this chart to Microsoft Word just select the chart, open Word and then "Paste" the chart where you want it. I find it easier to create the chart in Excel and copy/paste it to Word rather than create the chart in Word.
