Finding information on a certain data set's variables and categories can be done by first opening the data set desired. For this tutorial we will use "Born9.dat" in the Cen1990 folder. Then go to "Command" and then "Info". The screen below should appear. This will tell you the Variables used in "Born9.dat" as well as the number of categories under each variable and the sample size of the data set labeled by " N = " at the bottom.

To get even more information about the data set you can go to "Command" and then "Marginals". This will show the separate variables with their separate categories. As shown below.
