Association
Investment Group
A major component of the
Finance Association is its investment group. Led by our new Vice
President of Investments, T. Jay Agostino, the investment group is open
to members of all skill level. Whether you don't even know what an IPO
is, or if you are an active and highly skilled investor, we want you!
This semester there will be two
investment competitions. One will be a stock trading competition
amongst the members of the finance association using the virtual
trading platform Equitrader. Multiple prizes will be paid out for
the winners! The other competition will be a commodity trading
challenge where the association as a group will compete with 100’s
of other schools. This competition is sponsored by the CME Group.
Next fall if all goes accordingly,
there will be a 2009 national collegiate investment competition run
by Equitrader.com. This is an exciting opportunity to see how we
stack up against other schools, while competing for a $25,000 1st
PRIZE! This competition will have many big name sponsors and is a
great chance to get the Bryant name out there.
Whether students want to learn more
about finance and trading in the markets, or they are looking for
some competition to test their skills, attending the investment
group meetings will prove to be worthwhile!
