My interest in the history of the printing industry, and concern for the direction of social communication, lead me to choose it as the topic of this web project as part of the curriculum of my History of American Technology course at Bryant College.
         The main element of this project is the Production Rates Timeline that exhibits the increased speed of production rates throughout the 19th century.
         Additional fun facts have also been included, categorized by
the class of printing press.
