        • used a torsion toggle impression mechanism

- 1822 -           The Smith Press

        • used an equal length lever-toggle impression mechanism

                       Developed by Samual Rust, N.Y.
        • used a combination curved lever-toggle joint impression mechanism
        • also had a moveable bed operated by pulleys and a crank
