The Lumina
'94 Chevy Lumina Z34
This same platform was used since 1986 for the Buick Regal, Pontiac Grand Prix, Chevrolet Lumina, and Oldsmobile Cutless Supreme.  The cars were designed to compete with the Ford Taurus and were introduced in 1986.  When the sports sedans became the rage, Chevrolet came out with the Z34 and shared the engine with the Pontiac and Oldsmobile. Buick used it's own 3800 V6 in it's car, this was a smoother more proven engine.  The others used the new TwinDual Cam V6.

All 4 versions offer 2 and 4 doors, and anywhere from economy to performance, showing the versatility of the platform.  The cars have been deviating from each other in style and feel since introduction, and you have to look hard at the '98's to see the resemblence.
