Video Games - (1960-1969)
1961: The first interactive video game was invented by Steve Russell, and the name of the game was "Spacewar." He developed this simple game on a Digital mainframe computer. The games graphics were actually ASCII text characters which formed the objects within the game.
1964: David Rosen and Nihon Bussan merged their two companies to form Sega Enterprises Ltd. as we know it today.
1966: "The Periscope" is developed by Sega Enterprises Ltd. This shooting gallery game is the first arcade game that was ever developed by Sega.
1967: Ralph Baer, an engineer, develops the most simplistic game that would be played on your television. The excitement consisted of two sticks and one ball bouncing in a straight line.
