Fractals
"...Lets start with definitions. In very simple terms, fractals are geometrical figures that  are generated by starting with a very simple pattern that grows through the application of rules. In many cases, the rules to make the figure grow from one stage to the next  involve taking the original figure and modifying it or adding to it. This process can be repeated recursively (the same way over and over again) an infinite number of times..." (http://www.best.com/~ejad/java/fractals/intro.shtml)

Do you know that scandinavian fjords have a fractal structure? You can scale fractal image with mouse selecting square domain. Clicking to the image you return to the started fractal. During the scale process fractal is recomputing so you should wait and see to the status line. Also you can fast change colors and brightness of the final image. I wish you to get much beautiful time researching great mathematical structures as vikings that are connected with researching fjords long time ago...

Fractal domain created by Benoit B. Mandelbrot: Z=Z2+C, where Z and C is a complex.
