  INTRODUCTION
 

Laurie Bates started teaching at Bryant University in 1991. Dr. Bates received her Ph.D in Economics from the University of Connecticut in 1989 with a primary concentration in Public Finance. Professor Bates teaches a variety of classes at Bryant including Honor Micro and Macroeconomics, Environmental Economics, Public Finance and Intermediate Microeconomics. Professor Bates has many refereed journal articles in the area of  Applied Microeconomics.
