Delta Chi Preamble:
"We, the members of the Delta Chi Fraternity, believing that great advantages are to be derived from a brotherhood of college and university men, appreciating that close association may promote friendship, develop character, advance justice and assist in the acquisition of a sound education, do ordain and establish this constitution."

What is rush?

Rush is a period of time for prospective members to visit the fraternity and gather information about its membership. We want to provide you with every bit of information you might want to know. Rush is a great time to ask us about our fraternity, so come prepared with questions. Additionally it is good to meet as many of the members as possible during rush. Getting to know the members is the best way to get a feel for the bond that we share. After you get the chance to meet a majority of the chapter and you have attended several functions, you will receive a bid from the Rush Captains. The bid is basically a formal invitation to join. Anyone with questions about the Rush process should contact Rush Chairman Brandon McMorrow at 401-719-7595.

Why Should I Rush Delta Chi?

Academics
Academics come first and foremost at Delta Chi. Members must keep a 2.0 overall GPA in order to stay active. Our overall Fraternity GPA was 2.74 for the Spring 2004 semester, well above the average University’s man's. All Associate Members are required to attend 10 hours of study hours per week as part of the New Member Education program. Delta Chi offers many scholarships for members who exhibit exceptional academic achievement and chapter involvement. Last year, Delta Chi won academic awards for Highest Fraternity, Highest New Member GPA, and Highest Fraternity Member GPA.

Social
Our chapter hosts a variety of social events during the course of they year which range from our Superbowl Party with a big screen TV and food to Spring Week and Greek Week activities.

Brotherhood
Brotherhood is the strongest value instilled in the brothers of Delta Chi. Every semester we plan brotherhood events such as cookouts, dinners out, trips to the movies, skiing trips, formals, and many other activities. In addition to these events, brothers bond in informal ways such as playing catch, shooting some hoops, or helping each other study.

Leadership
Delta Chi is committed to be a leader Bryant University. Within the chapter, there are many leadership opportunities available including 6 Executive Board positions and nearly a dozen Committee Head positions. Aside from these positions there are many opportunities to run fundraisers, philanthropy events, and social events.

Athletics
Our chapter participates in intramural sports every semester including dodge ball, indoor soccer, basketball, and softball. Each year we also host a Delta Chi vs. Student Senate softball game which raises funds for Make-a-Wish.

Philanthropy
Our philanthropic efforts are well known by University administration. Each year our chapter completes nearly two dozen philanthropy and community service projects. These programs include several Highway Cleanups, assisting at Our Lady of Good Hope’s food bank, an annual Food Drive each March which last year netted over $2000 worth of food, and the Special Olympics Torch Run from Providence to the Bryant campus in Smithfield. Our official chapter philanthropy is the Rhode Island Dire Emergency Relief Fund which assists families and individuals whose lives have been devastated by natural disasters. Our chapter was named Philanthropy of the Year for the 2004-2005 school year. Delta Chi has also been named Fraternity of the Year 5 out of the past 6 years. We have numerous events planned for this year which we hope will help us continue our record of excellence in the Bryant university community.
