Industry Experiences

Professor Roethlein has over 12 years of industry experience prior to returning back to school for his Ph.D. His industry experiences included mechanical and aerospace engineering, project management and operations management. He has extensive experiences with manufacturing, supply chain management, quality, lean concepts and workforce communications. His previous employers were The Stanley Works, Revere Aerospace, Eaton Pressure Sensors Division, Kaman Aerospace and United Technologies Research Center.

As an academic, Professor Roethlein has tried to remain current with industry. Undergraduate and graduate students investigate and solve existing problems with industry members through projects associated with their curriculum. Projects are diverse and the student solutions have been significant and respected. In addition, he also provides his services as a consultant when time permits.
