IT Service Management (ITSM) is a process-focused discipline for managing Information
Technology systems and resources. We follow an ITSM approach because it centers
on our customer's perspective rather than the technology-centered approach. ITSM allows us
to provide a framework to structure IT-related activities and the interactions of IT
technical personnel with our end-user community. We have adopted the ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library)
framework of "best practice" guidance for ITSM.ITIL provides comprehensive guidelines on
all aspects of end-to-end Service Management and covers the complete spectrum of people, process, products
and the use of partners.
