Award Dinner set for Friday, March 25, 2011

The Alumni Achievement Awards honor alumni for their outstanding contributions to their profession, community, and to Bryant University. Bryant alumni also recognize a current faculty member for his or her professional accomplishments and positive influence on the lives of students. This year an award for distinguished alumnus will also be given to a graduate of either the MBA, MST or other graduate programs.

Alumni New Venture Competition
Deadline for business plans, December 1, 2010
The Alumni Relations staff regularly meet alumni who are launching new business ventures. We developed this inaugural Alumni New Venture Competition to recognize alumni entrepreneurship and help build connections between alumni and potential funding sources. Top prize is $10,000.

Interfaith Center dedicated in honor of Machtleys
The Board of Trustees honors President and Mrs. Machtley by dedicating the award-winning Interfaith Center in their names.
Bryant climate change research receives landmark federal funding
The National Science Foundation awards Bryant a five-year $534,000 grant to support faculty and student research into the effects of climate change on marine life in Narragansett Bay. It is the largest award for sponsored research ever received by the University.
U.S. Commerce Secretary Gary Locke appoints Vice President for Academic Affairs José-Marie Griffiths to a three-year term on the advisory board of the National Technical Information Service.
MBA program rated among nation's best
The Graduate School's MBA program, deemed "the best-value MBA in New England outside of Cambridge/Boston," is praised in The Princeton Review's 2011 edition of "Best 300 Business Schools."

Bryant Basketball comes to the Midwest!
Join Bryant University alumni and friends to cheer on the Bryant Bulldogs while they compete in the World Vision Tournament at Cleveland State University November 12-14 or when they play the University of Michigan on December 23.
