Bulldogs named league champs with 9-0 victory over Sacred Heart; Win outright title in just first full season in the NEC
Bryant Senior right hander Brent Almeida (Fairhaven, Mass.) pitched a six-hit complete-game shutout while striking out a career-high eight batters Wednesday afternoon, as the Bryant University baseball team defeated Sacred Heart University, 9-0, to clinch the 2010 Northeast Conference regular-season title.
