Bryant young Entrepreneur Launches Under30CEO.com
An inspiration leader: Matt Wilson ’08
Alumnus uses personal and business experiences to motivate, advise, and encourage aspiring entrepreneurs.
New York entrepreneurs Matt Wilson ’08 and Jared O'Toole decided that terms like "down economy," "dreadful job market," and "poor outlook" were just too bleak for what this exciting world has to offer, so they created a magazine, http://Under30CEO.com, for aspiring entrepreneurs.
Matt and Jared use technologies such as Twitter and blogs to inspire young people to start businesses during and after college, and to pursue their dreams despite the down economy.
Their Web site idea germinated from their own personal experiences. After moving home from college and trying to start several businesses, Matt and Jared were struggling to find support to help them succeed on their own. They soon found that there were a lot of people in the same situation and in need of a helping hand. They questioned why there wasn’t a fun, relaxed online environment for entrepreneurs and business owners of all stages to find the motivation to go out and live the dream.
Under30CEO.com highlights young entrepreneurs and includes lessons from people who have set themselves up for success and are chasing their passion. The site also offers seminars, coaching sessions, and keynote speeches on creating a personal brand for yourself by using internet technologies to do what you love.
"Becoming an expert in the field of your dreams is easier than ever before with the technology at hand," Matt says. "Connecting with millions of people in your niche can be done from anywhere in the world."
