Bryant Alumni Career Link
Connecting Students and Alumni for Job Information
The Amica Center for Career Education hosts the Bryant Alumni Career Link. This online database lists Bryant University alumni from various career fields and geographic locations who have volunteered to share their knowledge and expertise with interested students and alumni. Consider adding your name to our list and help current and future Bryant students.
“The purpose of the Alumni Career Link is to provide opportunities for Bryant students to meet with alumni who can help students during their career search,” says Judith Clare, director of the Amica Center for Career Education. “There isn’t a better way for a student to learn about a particular position or industry than to meet with an alumnus or alumna who is in that role.”
The program also provides a way for Bryant alumni to give back to their alma mater.
“Helping students is a win-win for our alumni,” says Robin Warde, director of alumni relations. “They are able to stay involved with Bryant and find new talent for their organizations, as well as promote their own personal and professional development through networking.”
As alumni, you can help in a variety of ways:
Information: Provide students and alumni with information about your career path, including occupations you have held or industries, companies, or regions you have worked in.
Employment Opportunities: Assist students or alumni with internships, summer jobs, and/or full time positions at your company.
Job Shadowing: Allow a student or alumnus/a to shadow you during a visit that is arranged between you and the student/alumnus/a.
Campus Career Events/Panels: Indicate an interest in being contacted by the Amica Career Center to participate in or be a guest speaker for career panels, fairs, and student networking events.
The Alumni Career Link is the most recent addition to the Amica Career Center, which was recently ranked ninth in the country for career and job placement services by the Princeton Review. The Career Center also provides an academic internship program, corporate recruiting, and an annual career fair to give students hands-on work experience and access to employment opportunities.
“One of the most valuable experiences that a student can have is to spend a couple of hours with a Bryant alumnus or alumna to discuss the student’s career plans,” says Clare. “An opportunity such as this is really appreciated and most valuable to our students.”
