Program Manager, Advancing Green Building Initiative: Responsibilities include: Under the leadership of the President and Vice President and reporting to the Director of Strategic Initiatives, the Program Manager for the Advancing Green Building initiative will manage Second Nature’s involvement in outreach and education to advance green building in higher education across the United States. The Program Manager will work towards accomplishing the larger goal of building the capacity of under-resourced colleges and universities (including tribal colleges and other minority serving institutions and community colleges) to construct new high performance buildings or renovate old buildings using green design on their campuses. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following: Coordinate fellowship program, including promotion of the program and the selection of recipient institutions; manage the development of new workshop sessions for conferences on green building in higher education; work with partner organizations to promote regional workshops and assist with organizing workshop logistics. Assist with the development of a new web site, manage daily operations, promote the web site, and conduct information gathering to populate the site. Qualifications include: Graduate degree in sustainable development, environmental studies, communications, management or related fields; experience and knowledge in project management; education and training program development; communications; and/or web site management is preferred; Green building experience or knowledge is useful but not mandatory; a passion for green building and sustainability is preferred. Qualifications include: Experience with developing and maintaining web sites and strong computer literacy is helpful in Mac and PC; MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint ); must have excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to take initiative to work independently as part of an intra‐ and inter‐organizational team, and to tactfully and diplomatically manage complex relationships. Program Coordinator: For the Adolescent Leadership Council of Hasbro Children's Hospital. Under the general direction of the Clinical Supervisors of The Adolescent Leadership Council (TALC), coordinates and facilitates the TALC program. TALC is a group that brings together teens with chronic illness and Brown University Student Mentors, also with chronic illness, in an effort to provide support, facilitate successful transition to adulthood, and to create leadership opportunities for participants to improve their local communities.
