Internship
Placement
Internships have taken place at small, regional,
and big CPA firms, governmental agencies, not-for-profit organizations,
small businesses, and large corporations.
Internships may be listed by the employer or
may be developed by the student. Job descriptions outlining the intern's
position are approved by the department chair to ensure the position
duties result in an adequate level of responsibility to warrant academic
credit. A faculty advisor establishes the learning objectives for the
intern based on the job description. The student is then supervised by the
faculty advisor and a site supervisor.
