Carla Harris

Carla Harris is a Managing Director and head of the Emerging Manager Platform at Morgan Stanley Investment Management, where she also provides investment advice to corporations, public pension plans, foundations, and endowments. For more than a decade, she was a senior member of the equity syndicate desk, executing transactions such as initial public offerings for UPS and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. She is the author of Expect to Win. Proven Strategies for Success from a Wall Street Vet. Recipient of numerous awards and accolades, she was recently named to Fortune Magazine’s list of “The 50 Most Powerful Black Executives in Corporate America” and American Banker’s list of “The Top 25 Women in Finance.” She chairs the board of the Morgan Stanley Foundation and sits on the boards of the Food Bank for NYC and The Apollo Theatre Foundation, among others. An accomplished singer, she released her latest CD, “Unceasing Praise,” in 2011.

Mika Brzezinski

Mika Brzezinski is the co-host of MSNBC’s Morning Joe. Her memoir, All Things At Once, became a New York Times best-seller in January 2010. Her second book, Knowing Your Value, examines the role of women in the workplace – specifically the fight to gain recognition and a fair salary. It was published in May 2011 and reached number one on The New York Times list of best-selling business books. Prior to joining MSNBC in January 2007, Ms. Brzezinski was an anchor of the CBS Evening News Weekend Edition and a CBS News correspondent who frequently contributed to CBS Sunday Morning and 60 Minutes. She reported live from Lower Manhattan for CBS News during the September 11 attacks, becoming their principal “Ground Zero” reporter. A native of New York City, she is the daughter of foreign policy expert and former National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski.

Joe Scarborough

Joe Scarborough
is the host of MSNBC’s Morning Joe, a program that has been called "revolutionary” by Time Magazine and “the thinking viewer’s choice” by USA Weekend. In April 2001, he was named to the prestigious “Time 100” list of the world’s most influential people Previously, he hosted MSNBC’s primetime news show Scarborough Country. In addition to his career in television, he is the author of the New York Times best-seller The Last Best Hope: Restoring Conservatism and America's Promise, a book that draws on the forgotten genius of conservatism to offer a road map for the movement and the country. Prior to his television career, he was publisher and editor of the award-winning newspaper The Florida Sun. A Congressman (R-Fla.) from 1994-2001, he was a member of the Judiciary, Armed Services, Oversight, and National Security committees.

Marlee Matlin

Marlee Matlin, who has been deaf since the age of 18 months, won an Academy Award for Best Actress for her motion picture debut in Children of a Lesser God. She has since starred in many feature films and on television, appearing in programs such as The West Wing, The L Word, and her own series, Reasonable Doubts.She continues to break barriers, recently appearing on Dancing with the Stars and The Celebrity Apprentice. She has been a director and producer, and has authored three children’s novels. Her autobiography, I’ll Scream Later, is a touching journey of her life, including battles with addiction and the challenges of being thrust into the spotlight as an emissary for the deaf community. Ms. Matlin is National Celebrity Spokesperson for the American Red Cross and works tirelessly for other charitable organizations. She has worked on behalf of closed captioning and was instrumental in getting Congress to pass federal legislation requiring that all televisions manufactured in the United States be equipped with closed captioning technology.
