Athletic Facilities

Bryant's outstanding athletic facilities have attracted top-notch student-athletes since the campus moved to scenic Smithfield in 1971. Within walking distance of the residence halls and townhouses are 35 sprawling acres of attractive playing fields. Bryant has recently invested over $4 million to improve the playing surfaces and infrastructure of all of its outdoor fields.

Bryant Football GameBulldog Stadium was constructed in the summer of 1998 and seats 3,200 fans for Bryant College varsity football, soccer and lacrosse games. The playing surface was laser-graded and special turf developed at Kingston Turf in southern RI was put down in time for the fall 1999 football season. While football is a new initiative at Bryant, football fans have flocked to the campus by the thousands for over two decades. Bryant has served as
the summer training home of the New England Patriots (2001 SuperBowl Champions) since 1976.

Bryant Baseball GameNew baseball and softball diamonds were constructed for play in the spring of 2000 with state of the art design, materials, and dugouts.

Bryant's challenging 3.2-mile cross-country course is recognized by coaches and runners as one of the finest in New England. The course hosts Bryant and NE-10 meets, NCAA Division I competition, and state and regional high-school meets. Bryant unveiled its $400,000, eight-lane track in 1994. Runners from throughout New England enjoy the track's ability to accommodate fast meet times and rigorous training sessions.

Six tennis courts, two soccer/lacrosse fields, a dedicated field hockey field and newly seeded and expanded space for club and intramural sports add to Bryant's wide-range of athletic opportunities.

Bryant Basketball GameThe Bryant indoor sports complex complements the college's versatile outdoor facilities. The hub of college's athletic facilities is the Bryant Gymnasium, home to both the basketball and volleyball teams. The Gym's three beautiful hardwood courts make it ideal for tournaments and camps. Twenty-four hundred seats surround center court to give the Bulldogs a decisive home-court advantage. The Gym also hosts special events, concerts, and guest speakers.

The Multipurpose Activities Center (MAC) had a new flooring surface installed in the fall of 1999 and is home to three multi-dimensional courts. The MAC is utilized by Bryant's varsity athletic teams for off-season practice as well as for intramural sports. The MAC accommodates Bryant social events as well.

The Multipurpose Activities Center (MAC) and Gymnasium hold racquetball courts and multipurpose courts for basketball, volleyball, tennis, badminton, floor hockey, and indoor soccer. The 2,400 seat gymnasium offers three indoor courts for basketball and volleyball.
