Measuring Wetland Trees

STEPS FOR MEASURING THE GIRTH OF TREES
(1) Measure girth (circumference) of tree at 1 meter height
(2) Record yearly measurements
(3) Calculate percent growth rate per year

(1) Collect leaf samples; press in plastic bags
(2) Photograph leaf samples
(3) Photograph each tree measured from the same perspective
        (known reference points)
