Human beings have always felt that they were the most important creatures on earth, and still to this day they feel that they are higher then any other living thing. Unfortunately, animals have to suffer because of humans' stubbornness. Species become endangered, not from natural laws of succession or Darwinism, but from outside influences. When Human beings start to infringe on the environment, bringing with them pollutants, toxins and unnatural factors, they affect animals in a vast way. People's materialistic ways of life lead to the destruction of the natural world. The challenge in the world today is in trying to reverse the affects of our actions. Due to the inflexibility and narrow-mindedness of human beings, the attempts and ideas involved in undoing the destruction may take years to become actions. Since species do not have the ability to fix the problems we have caused, humans must take responsibility and try to annul the effects of our selfishness. People are beginning to realize that it is our duty now to take better care of our surroundings. Helping endangered species is an excellent place to start.
