Wood By-Products
Pellet Fuel
Pellet fuel is made mainly of sawdust and shavings
left over after processing trees for lumber and other wood products.
At a pellet mill the material is dried, compressed, and formed into small
pebble sized bits. Pellet fuel can be purchased at any building store
as well as pet and farm supply stores. Assuming that the popularity
of pellets as a fuel increases, they will be sold by many more types of
retailers. Currently over 500,000 homes in America use wood pellets
for fuel.
Pellets are safe, clean, pleasant smelling, energy
efficient, and renewable.
