Solar Power

Solar Power is an up and coming innovation that has been around for years.  It came about in the year of 1839 with the introduction of photovoltaic cells Edmund Becquerel.  Since then it has developed into solar collectors to create energy from the sun and change it into useable energy to power electronics and to heat your house.  It is used in commercial, industrial, and residential areas.  Most of the development was done before the 1970's when people and the industries involved in the development lost interest due to lack of demand for them. You can use solar power to power many different items, one that is used more than other applications is heating your water. A solar water heater uses the sun's energy rather than electricity or gas to heat water, thus reducing your monthly utility bill. When installed properly, solar water heaters are more economical over the life of the system than heating water with electricity, dedicated heat pumps, heat recovery units or propane. Also this idea is also incorporated in heating of pools. Unfortunately this idea of using renewable sources of energy has not caught on in the United States and everywhere else in the world due to lack of marketing and commercial push. It has one main draw back though if you don’t get a lot of sun in your area due to geography or trees it will not work but in places like Florida where there is a lot of sun. This is also the only region that has seen any growth in the market.
