ELECTRIC CARS

Many people these days desire an alternative mode of transportation.  With gas prices soaring the last few months, electric cars are a good alternative to gas powered vehicles.   Lease "startup costs" average $2,900, including charger installation.  Standard equipment includes dual airbags, air conditioning, CD player, ABS, cruise control,  power windows/locks/mirrors, keyless entry, and portable charger. An electric car runs on electric and solar power. Electric cars don’t require gasoline, so therefore they are more efficient. The motor operates at approximately 89 percent efficiency.  The electricity cost per mile should be about one-half of the cost of gasoline for a regular car.

· There are now EV's that can get you to work and back for around $10/month and recently a hybrid EV broke the 100-MPG record.   Electric cars are cleaner than gasoline powered cars and they don't pollute the toxic fumes that gasoline cars pollute. Due to the cloudy weather conditions in the northeast electric cars are sold mostly in the south. In New England, there just aren't enough sunny days in which the cars can be charged.  On the other hand the south is sunnier and warmer so the electric cars get charged and used.  Electric vehicles are equally equipped to that of the gasoline-powered vehicles. By that I mean they offer all the same options that a gasoline powered car offers.  In today’s electric vehicle market the electric Ford Ranger is the best selling compact truck.
