Mogilev
Mogilev is a city and administrative centre of Mogilev oblast, east-central Belarus, on the Dnieper River. It was founded in 1267 as a fortress and became a town in 1526, when it was under Lithuania. Later passing to Poland, it became Russian by the First Partition of Poland, in 1772. 
Mogilev has a long history.
Serious damage was inflicted in
World war II , but some ancient
buildings have survived such as:the Roman 
Catholic Cathedral, two Orhodox Churches of Boris and Gleb,the Drama Theatre building,the Monastery Complex at Podnikolie.
