What is AIS
at Bryant University?

Bryant University is the first in the state, and one of a small number of institutions nationwide, to offer an Accounting Information Systems (AIS) concentration. This new concentration is a partnership between the Accounting and the Computer Information Systems departments. It provides students with the tools they need to deliver accounting and consulting services to businesses.

The AIS professional should have the ability to analyze a business's needs and develop solutions to meet these needs. These solutions may include advising clients of appropriate application software for their organization or developing unique solutions using software development tools.

The objectives of the AIS concentration are to give students technical knowledge in accounting and computer information systems, practical skills, and the ability to function in the local, national, and global environments. By entering into new realms of services, AIS professionals will ensure their usefulness, importance, and marketability into the 21st century.
